VERSE 1
Blessed are those who do not walk in step with worldly men;
they do not follow in the ways of those who live in sin.
They do not end up in the mire of those who scoff at God,
but love his law and every hour they feed upon his word.
REFRAIN 1
They will be like a mighty tree planted by a river.
Bearing fruit as they trust in God and his unfailing grace.
As they abide in the Living Word,
their leaf will never wither;
when storms arise deep roots supply
the strength to stand in faith.

Lord, have mercy on the ones who do not heed your call;
Use us in our humble state to be a light to all.
For we remember when we were like chaff in desert wind;
May they know and trust the truth that frees them from their sin.
